R4 Internet table radio

R4 is an internetradio and a technical wonder. A
nice aluminium rotary wheel will give you the control of 15.000+ radiostations from all over the world.

R4 allows you to tune in to your favourite australian classic music station, pop music from London, or any specialty radio station from any location in the world in its own language, and in real time. It also allows you access to music stored on your PCs from any room in the house through your wireless or Ethernet connection.

When you surf from station to station, you are always informed via the 4 line crystal clear OLED display.

Available in four finishes, black, white, red, walnut and black leather.

Remote control application for iPhone and iPod Touch


Our Scansonic Remote application for iOS devices is now available for download on AppStore.

With the application you are able to control all the functions on the R4 internet radio with your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can change Mode (Internet, MediaPlayer, FM and AUX), browse through all the stations and podcasts available and select from your presets. So if you have an iOS device this is the perfect addition to your R4 radio. (from iOS 3.1.3 or later)

NOTE: To use the radio in FM and AUX mode you must set the radio to always be online. This is done by following these steps. Select System Settings, then select Network and then select Keep Network Connected.
When you have done this you can also use the Remote application to turn the radio on.
Please note that the EQ function is not built into the R4 radio and cannot be used on this particular radio.

Software update for Scansonic R4 Internet radio

Your R4 internet radio will automatically tell you that there is a software update available, if this is not the
case here is what you should do.

Go to System Settings and select Software Update and then select Check Now.

CAUTION! Do not remove the power supply or turn the radio off during the download and installation process.

AUGUST 2011
The software update will fix the BBC streaming. All BBC stations will now be available on our
Scansonic R4 internet radio.

The Play To function in Windows7 - Windows MediaPlayer12, is now compatible with our
Scansonic R4 internet radio. This makes it easier to stream music from your PC. Right click on a single
song or a playlist and press Play To and select the Scansonic R4.

REMEMBER! To make the Play To function work, both the radio and the PC must be on the same network.
